Teachers’ Blessing Day

On Sunday, October 25, 2015, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Parish Priest of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church blessed the Armenian Teachers who were invited to attend the Divine Liturgy and join the prayer service.

In his sermon, Fr. Zargarian talked about the Feast of Discovery of Holy Cross by Queen Helena and continued by emphasizing the essential t role the Armenian church played in the promotion, prosperity and preservation of the Armenian culture, education and literature. He pointed out that as the foundation of the Armenian Church, Holy Echmiadzin was established through the divine vision of St. Gregory the Illuminator, similarly, the Armenian alphabet appeared to St. Mesrop Mashtots in a divine vision. As a result, a unique Armenian identity was created where our faith became crucial for the survival of the Armenian nation and culture throughout the centuries.

Following the liturgy a small and warm reception was held at boardroom for the teachers and educators. More photos...
