Orthodox Churches Committee Meeting

The committee of the Orthodox Churches of Toronto met on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Holy Trinity Armenian Church to exchange ideas and share concerns about their churches and parishes. Attendees were:

Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian as representative of the Armenian Orthodox Church, Fr. Peter Avgeropoulos from the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto, Fr. Ammonius from the Coptic Church, and Fr. Oleg Kirilov from Russian Orthodox Church.

After the meeting, clergy were invited by Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian to visit A.G. B.U. Zaroukian School and meet with the students. The children performed a number of beautiful Armenian songs and everyone enjoyed the presentation. The clergy that was present addressed the youth, encouraging them to not only be good Christians and students but also, to always be proud of their heritage. It was an immensely gratifying visit for both the clergy and the students.
