On Sunday, March 22, 2015, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto hosted a lecture on topic of the Armenian Church in Georgia by Mr. Levon Isakhanyan, Assistant, and Advisor to the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese.

The Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto welcomed the speaker and introduced him to the audience.

The lecture was organized by the Christian Education Department of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate, in collaboration with the Armenian Church Diocese of Georgia.

Topics discussed were the history and the current situation of the Armenian Church in Georgia, Georgian Government’s policy with regard to religious communities, and challenges faced by the Armenian community, such as the restitution of confiscated property from religious groups, inequality in the field of allocation of public funds, etc.

We thank Mr. Isakhanyan for providing the parishioners with interesting and valuable information and wish him well in his future endeavors.
