Deacon Nuran Ipek at Church Unity Prayers

The prayer week celebrating the Church Unity took place on the week of January 17 – 25, 2009 in Toronto.

Deacon Nurhan Ipek was present at the closing prayer on January 25th which took place at York Minister Park Baptist Church to represent the Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
He was honored to read the following Scripture from the Old Testament by the request of Rev. Dr. J. Peter Holmes.

The Prophecy concerning the Reunion of Judah and Israel

[15] The word of the Lord came tome:

[16] Mortal. Take a stickand write upon it, “For Judah, and the Israelities associated with it”; then take another stick and write on it, “For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with it”.

[17] And join them together into one stick, so that they may become ONE in your hand.

This was the perfect scripture for the occasion: The Unity of Christian Churches.
