Baby Blessing
In accordance with the tradition of the Armenian Apostolic Church, infants who are 40 days old are brought to the church to receive a special blessing from the priest.
Presentation of Children Before God
This sacred tradition is rooted in the Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ at the Temple, when He was brought by the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph forty days after His birth. In the same spirit, families present their child before God, offering thanksgiving for the gift of new life and seeking God’s blessing for the child’s health, protection, and spiritual growth.
