Biography

Rafi Sadurian was born on September 21, 1940, in Baghdad, Iraq, to Nicola Daniel Sadurian and Lernig Hambarsom Arakelian. He graduated from Baghdad College and built a successful career, serving with the Japanese Embassy before becoming a Commercial Officer at the Canadian Embassy in Baghdad.

In 1973, he married the love of his life, Dawlina (Sosi), and together they built a family founded on love and devotion. In May 1978, they immigrated to Canada, where they embraced a new chapter while remaining deeply connected to their Armenian heritage.

Rafi was passionate about community life. He was active in the Armenian Youth Club, sang with the Komitas Choir for many years, performed in Armenian theatre, and enjoyed sports, especially volleyball, tennis, and swimming. Above all, he treasured time with his family, finding his greatest happiness in family gatherings and celebrations.

Rafi will be remembered as a loving husband and a kind and generous man who lived life to the fullest and touched many with his warmth and compassion.
