The Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian and the Parish Councilask faithful parishioners to pray for thedeparted soul of the late Vaughan Harry Totovian.

Beloved husband of Lily (Tossounian) Totovian. Loving son of the late Kayzag and Isabelle (Gureghian) Totovian. Devoted brother of Mark Totovian and his partner, Kenya Miller and the late James Totovian. Also survived by many loving cousins and friends in the United States and Canada including the Kurkjian, Gureghian, Tossounian, Chadwick, Kasparian, Metjian, Martinian / Bogosian, Dornburgh and Kaloustian families.A 1976 graduate of Watertown High School and 1981 graduate from Northeastern University, Vaughan spent his career as a professional civil engineer (PE) working for several contractors who completed such construction projects as the Central Artery / Ted Williams Tunnel, South Coast Rail, South Station Expansion, Mansfield Crossing and the Sagamore Rotary. Vaughan was a certified Construction Supervisor with the Department of Public Safety which allowed him to act as a general contractor on home construction projects.Vaughan had an enriched mind with command of many spheres of interest. He cared deeply about his Armenian lineage and heritage, American politics and whether Boston fans were getting adequate appreciation from the owners of professional sports teams. At family gatherings, young and old relatives marveled at Vaughan’s interest in national and local issues and came away with a deeper understanding of the importance of these issues and the need for generous compassion in all matters of the public square.Lily Totovian wishes to express her profound gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who provided unwavering support, care, and love to Vaughan during his courageous struggle with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease. These extraordinary individuals include Pilar Delory, Grace Eria, Nicholas Musisi, Cecilia Horton, Edwine Menards, and Lourdes Patel.She is also deeply thankful to all the family and friends who offered their boundless kindness, support, and comforting words during this challenging time. A special note of heartfelt appreciation is extended to Vaughan’s cousin, Stephen Kurkjian, her brother, Haig Tossounian, and her Aunties Alis Maltepe and Aida Wakileh, as well as Lisa Stewart, Sara Martinian, Afton Chadwick, Chanel Tossounian and Chloe Tossounian Chadwick.
