On Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015 Rev. Fr. Datev Menengichian celebrated Divine Liturgy accompanied by Deacons, Sub Deacons and the Choir. Following the tradition established over the years, this year as well, on Mother’s Day the HTAC Women’s Guild committee members were blessed by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian and Rev. Fr. Datev Menengichian and were recognized for their hard work, commitment and devotion.

For the year 2015, Mrs. Sirvard Kurdian and Mrs. Vergine Meherian were recognized by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian and the Parish Council of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church as ‘Mothers of the Year 2015’ for their motherhood and their service to the church and community.

A genocide survivor, Mrs. Sirvart Kurdian, at 102 year young, continues her contributions to the HTAC parish through her children, grandchildren and great-grand children, who following in the footsteps of their matriarch, are actively involved in various church committees.

Being a mother of five, Mrs. Vergine Meherian still finds time to serve her church as a member of HTAC Women’s Guild and encourages her family to follow her example of service and participation.

Happy mother’s Day to all Mothers!
