St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Saturday School

Founded in 1956 under the auspices of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto, St. Sahag & St. Mesrob is the oldest Armenian language school in Toronto.

About the School

A Legacy of Learning

Currently in its 68th academic year, the school is a vibrant educational institution. The school welcomes hundreds of students each year, many of whom are the children of alumni.

Grade Levels & Curriculum

We offer classes from Kindergarten to Grade 10.

Kindergarten & Elementary

In kindergarten and elementary, Western Armenian and Eastern Armenian are taught in separate classes.

Secondary

From Grade 7 onward, students learn both Western and Eastern Armenian dialects simultaneously.

To create an environment where students have the opportunity to connect with their Armenian heritage by exploring its cultural dimensions, Armenian history, art, literature, and music through the study of the Armenian language.

Vision

To promote Armenian education in order to preserve the Armenian faith, language and culture and to prepare the future leaders of the community who take pride in their Armenian heritage and make valuable contributions within the Armenian Community and to society at large.
