Volunteers’ Appreciation Party

Volunteers’ Appreciation Party

S-IMG_9941It is a tradition for Holy Trinity Armenian Church to host a yearly dinner party to honour her dedicated and hardworking volunteers, and to celebrate the unity and hard work they are conducting.

By the invitation of Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian and the Parish Council, over 200 volunteers gathered on Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Magaros Artinian Hall.  Fr. Zareh and his energetic, hard-working and fun-loving Parish Council organized this evening to bring everyone together and celebrate unity, friendship and teamwork.  The turnout was great, despite a snow storm covering the city and creating difficult driving conditions.

The attendees were doubly honoured to have His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, present for the festivities.  He brought everyone a special surprise; copies of his newly-published book, “Thoughts” were distributed among the guests, and many had their books autographed by the author, our Bishop.

The opening prayer was offered by Rev. Archpriest Sarkis Gulyan, followed by welcoming speeches delivered by Parish Council Chairman Paul Ishkanian, Parish Priest Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Diocesan Council Chairman Ara Boyajian, and His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate.

The wonderful members of the Women’s Guild, as always, helped organize details of the evening and guided the Parish Council members.

All present enjoyed the warm atmosphere despite the raging blizzard outside, met with friends, enjoyed great food and danced till the wee hours to the selection of fine tunes supplied by Grigor Shahmuradyan.
