St. Mary’s Assumption Day & Blessing of Grapes Ceremony

On Sunday, August 14, 2022 the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada and Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church assisted by Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian.

Fr. Zargarian delivered a special sermon about Saint Mary on the Feast of Assumption of the Holy Mother of God. He invited everyone to pray to St. Mary to be the protector of our Homeland Armenia, Artsakh, the soldiers who are protecting our land and may our Lord Jesus Christ keep Armenia and the world in peace.
At the end of Divine Liturgy, Fr. Zargarian gave candles and blessed the attendees whose name was celebrated. He also extended appreciation to those who donated grapes or made monetary donations on this occasion.

The blessing of grapes took place outdoors at Church’s premises. The faithful parishioners joined in prayers, then approached to take home their bag of grapes to share with family and friends.

A BBQ lunch was organized and served by the hardworking volunteers of Holy Trinity Armenian Church’s Women’s Guild and Barev Centre’s Social Committee.
The Armenian Market was set up for the visitors who could find all sorts of items starting from food, decoration, jewellery to different services.
The Parish Priest and the Council of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who assisted with the set up of this amazing feast day, helped with the BBQ preparation and all the attendees who supported the Church as well as the Armenian vendors.
