Visiting His Grace Bishop Meghrig Parigian

After 12 years of devoted services to St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church in Toronto, Very Rev. Fr. Meghrig Parigian was ordained Bishop on April 26th and April 27th 2014, by His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia. On May 10th the annual delegates’ meeting of the Armenian Church Canadian Prelacy was held in Montreal elected Bishop Meghrig Parigian as the prelate of the Armenian Church of Canada.

On May 16th, 2014 a delegation from Holy Trinity Armenian Church led by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian paid a visit to Bishop Parigian at St. Mary’s Armenian Church. It was a blessing to have Archbishop Avak Assadourian, Primate of Armenian Church Diocese of Iraq who was visiting Holy Trinity Armenian Church to join the delegation.

During the meeting, Archbishop Assadourian congratulated Bishop Parigian and wished him well. On behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhanissian, Locum Tenens of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada, the Parish Council and the faithful of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, Fr. Zargarian expressed warm congratulations and best wishes to His Grace Bishop Meghrig Parigian and the community and wished him a healthy and prosperous service for the glory of God. On this occasion Fr. Zargarian presented him with an artwork by the well known Georgian Armenian artist Tengiz Migoyants.
