The National Chamber Choir of Armenia’s Performance in Toronto

The organizing committee, CAAPA, under the auspices of His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, had been working hard to have this performance happen under the best circumstances and in October, the month of Armenian culture and heritage.

Mrs. Lena Ouzounian, chairperson of CAAPA and other volunteers and members of this energetic committee, planned, organized and successfully accomplished yet another unique performance. We would like to appreciate their dedication in promoting the gems of our homeland to the Toronto community.

On Sunday, October 16, 2011, the parishioners of Holy Trinity Armenian Church experienced a unique Divine Liturgy. At the invitation of Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian, the National Chamber Choir performed the Gomidas version of the Holy Badarak. His Eminence Bagrat Galstanian was the celebrant, accompanied by Fr. Zargarian and Fr. Sakissian. The mesmerizing Divine Liturgy was yet another opportunity for the faithful to enjoy the magnificent voices of the acclaimed Choir under the direction of Mr. Robert Mlkeyan.

During their week-long stay in Ontario, the choir had a chance to visit Ottawa and meet with the Ambasador, Mr. Yeganian and Armenian community members of the capital city. They visited St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in St. Catherines and Niagara Falls as well.

On their last day in Toronto, the Choir members gathered at Holy Trinity Armenian Church one last time and accompanied Fr. Zareh Zargarian in prayer.
