Saturday School Pilgrims Visit The Mother See

On Sunday, July 13, St. Sahag – St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School graduates and teachers, lead by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Parish Priest of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church and the Canadian Youth Mission to Armenia (CYMA) group lead by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Vazgen Boyajian, visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and met His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The meeting was arranged by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhanissian.

During this memorable meeting Fr. Zargarian extended sincere appreciation and thanked His Holiness for the opportunity to present St. Sahag – St. Mesrop Armenian Saturday School students and the school’s mission. Fr. Zargarian extended good wishes to His Holiness Karekin II on behalf of the Parish Council and all auxiliary bodies and the faithful of Holy Trinity Armenian Church.

Vehapar extended his blessings and acknowledged the extensive hard work of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church under the leadership of Pastor, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian.
Following this memorable meeting, the group attended Divine Liturgy in St. Gayane church in Etchmiadzin.

The annual pilgrimage of the Saturday School graduate class to Armenia was initiated 15 years ago by Fr. Zargarian in order to keep the ties between students in the Diaspora close with Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
