Press Office

The Holy Cross order of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, is a special honor bestowed upon a member of the church in recognition of their long years of service with highest devotion to the church. It was the unanimous decision of the pastor and the parish council to award Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Gulyan with Holy Cross on the 85th Anniversary of the Holy Trinity Church, which took place on December 8, 2013. Unfortunately, Fr. Gulyan could not be present on that day.

On Sunday, January 19, 2014, during the Divine Liturgy, The Holy Cross order was presented to Fr. Gulyan by Fr. Zareh Zargarian as a token of appreciation for his unconditional devotion to the Holy Church and Christian values.

In his emotional speech, Fr. Gulyan talked about the importance of fairness, peace and love, appreciated the work of all those who have devoted themselves to the tireless work of building and serving the church. Fr. Gulyan praised the Lord for granting him the ability to serve the church for 75 years, 28 of those years in Canada. He stated that being a pastor is accepting to carry the cross until end of your life otherwise one cannot be qualified to be the real follower of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
