The 93rd Annual Parish Assembly of Holy Trinity Armenian Church took place on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Quorum was noted at 86 members present.
Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Parish Priest invited His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate, to open the assembly with prayer. The assembly officers were elected as follows:
Chairman – Jack Stepanian
Recording Secretary – English – Dr. Isa Basmajian
Recording Secretary – Armenian – Sossi Barounian
The number of Parish Council Members was increased from 11 to 13 at the request of the Parish Council Chairman, due to the volume of work and the noticeable increase in the number of HTAC Parish members. The request was approved by the assembly. The total number of seats to be filled on the Parish Council was 9. Six current members had submitted their names for re-election, and three new members joined: Mrs. Rosin Imasdounian, Mr. Hrant Ketendjian and Mrs. Nune Zohrabyan.
In his closing remarks, Bishop Abgar Hovakimian expressed his appreciation for Father Zareh, Yeretsgin Naira and their children, the Parish Council, and all the volunteers. The Primate noted that Holy Trinity Armenian Church is a vibrant parish, setting high standards in the Canadian Diocese.
He welcomed the new members of the Parish Council and wished them success in carrying on their great journey of serving our beloved church. The assembly was adjourned with Bishop Hovakimian and Father Zareh’s prayer at 5:00pm.
