“Christ is Risen from the dead, alleluia”
“Blessed is the Resurrection of our Lord, alleluia.”
Dear faithful in Christ,
The Lenten period is a time of penance and self-cleansing, leading the Christian faithful to the most enriching mystery: the Resurrection of our Lord. In partaking Christ’s suffering we are called to be shareholders of His Blessed Resurrection.
“Christ is Risen from the dead”
“Blessed is the Resurrection of our Lord”
On Easter Eve, the Church declares the Resurrection of our Lord thus bestowing upon us the newness of life. In His Resurrection, every Christian is cleansed and called once again to lead a God pleasing life. Christ our Lord sacrificed His life for the remission of our sins. This He proclaimed during the last Supper as he shared the bread and wine with His disciples saying: “Take and eat it, this is my body. Drink it, all of you, this my blood, which seals God’s covenant, my blood, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26:27-28)
“Blessed is the Resurrection of Christ”
Our faith in the Resurrection of Christ and the power of the Holy and victorious Cross will guide us to repentance and help us to become true followers of Christ. Let the blessing of the resurrected Lord be with you and your loved ones.
We wish you all a Happy Easter and may the Lord grant you good health and the strength to serve your Holy Church and heritage.
