11th Annual Soup Kitchen

11th Annual Soup Kitchen

Thank you everyone for another successful Soup Kitchen and Shining Light on Mental Health series. A big thanks to Ani Kokorian for organizing this wonderful mission, to Diana Walsh for cooking the soup every year for 11 years and all the volunteers. Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Pastor of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church and His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimyan, Primate of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church -Canadian Diocese blessed the soup and began serving to the parishioners. Everyone enjoyed delicious soup with fresh Lavash bread followed by the mental health lecture. Many participated in the lecture presented by Maida Icliates, which included information on depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, dementia, practising breathing exercises, testing our mental fitness and how our thoughts are powerful. Many were candid about their challenges and it was a compassionate group supporting each other with gentle and kind words. We thank everyone for the positive feedback and the request for more workshops.  See more photos…
