On Sunday, October 19, 2014, The Very Rev. Fr. Apgar Hovakimian, the Primate of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at Holy Trinity Armenian Church. Prayer and Requiem Service were offered in memory of Christian victims of Syria & Iraq as well as the victims of 1920 battle in Hajin.
In commemoration of the anniversary of the Hajin battle, members of the Nor Serount Cultural Association of Toronto offered traditional Harissa to all parishioners at Magaros Artinian Hall. Very Rev. Fr. Hovakimian and Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zargarian blessed the Harissa and invited all present to join them in prayer.
The church auxiliary bodies and committees took part in HTAC Open House by setting up tables and presenting information about their group to Primate Hovakimian. Fr. Zargarian, the Parish Priest, introduced the chairperson’s of each group and to Primate and talked about the history of each committee, their mission and goals. The committee members were happy to speak with V. Rev. Fr. Abgar Hovakimian about their experiences and upcoming events. In this friendly and warm atmosphere, all visitors and volunteers of Holy Trinity Armenian Church had the opportunity to socialize and have a good time. The Parish Council and the Women’s Guild provided the light reception.   See photos…
