On Sunday, September 13, 2015, the Holy Trinity Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of Holy Cross as well as welcomed the students of Sunday School after the summer holiday.
Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, the Parish Priest, celebrated the Divine Liturgy joined by Deacons, Sub-Deacons and acolytes. The choir members lead by Shahe Altounian joined in prayers with their beautiful voices creating a mesmerizing mood to the liturgy on this feast day. Fr. Zargarian delivered the sermon of the day about the feast of Holy Cross and explained the significance of this day in history of the Armenian Church. He emphasized on the importance of being true followers of our Lord Jesus Christ and leading a true Christian life.
The Sunday School welcomed back the students and started the 2015-16 year with great enthusiasm.
Following the Divine Liturgy, parishioners were invited to help themselves with traditional “harissa” which was prepared overnight at church by Mirzoyan family members assisted by Mr. Garo Zakarian.On
On Monday, September 14th, which was a Memorial Day, Fr. Zargarian visited York Cemetery in Toronto for prayers with families in memory of their loved ones.
