Family Support Services shares Thanksgiving dinner with Street Haven Women’s Shelter

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Monday, October 9, as people all across Canada celebrated Thanksgiving dinner with their families, members of the Executive Committee of the Family Support Services (FSS) of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, their children and supporters, volunteered to share Thanksgiving dinner with over 60 women at Street Haven Women’s Shelter.

In keeping with the spirit of the Family Support Services Mission to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by helping those in need, volunteers expressed their love through cooking the food in their homes and then serving it at the shelter.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAs tables were set up in the dining room, the women began to get curious, some looking on with excitement. A line up outside the dining room formed. At 4:30 pm, the dining room opened and all the chairs filled quickly.
