ARMENKENK party took place on Saturday, November 13th and was the first one in series of events for Youth that will be organized annually by this group. A group of young people originally from Armenia came together under the patronage of Hayreniq committee and decided to bring together young Armenians in GTA area to socialize, network, drink, dance, have fun and make new friends.

The event was very successful, as there were more than 120 people participating in this event. They danced into Armenian music, sang Karaoke songs, participated in the Dance contest, shared laughs and all-in-all had great time! DJ Shanti intrigued participants with his selection of music. Yana and Aram were MCs of the event. Sona and Vahag were conducting Karaoke contest, where Ani gave a really good performance of "Apricot Stone".

New members of ARMENKENK team are: Aram Andreasyan, Aram Barsamyan, Lusine Balyan, Ruzan Shatiryan, Tigran Rostomyan, Sasha Pashyan,David Harutyunyan, Yana Papanyan, Sona Tutkhalyan, and Gohar Tutkhalyan.  

HAYRENIQ – A HOME SO NEAR AND FAR FROM HOME!  

On Wednesday, May 30^th, 2007, the earlier mentioned and already famous ‘ad hoc’ committee, which organized “Yerevan Nights” and “Holy Man Named Komitas” in a short period of time, became official as an auxiliary committee to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church and with the unanimous decision of the members was named “Hayreniq”.

The committee was created under the inspiring leadership of  Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargaryan and auspice of Holy Trinity Armenian Church. With 12 members so far, they have elected Grigor Shahmouradian as Chair of “Hayreniq” committee, Noune Zohrabyan as Vice-Chair (interim), Gohar Tutkhalyan as Secretary, and Spartak Setyan as Treasurer. The latter one will also have the support of Hripsik Sarkissian and Ashot Nagapetyan. Other members of the committee are: Susanna Harutyunyan, Ara Mouradyan, Gayane Shahmouradyan, Yana Papanyan, Yakov Batikyan, and Fred Nazaryan.

The primary purpose of the committee would be to organize social and cultural events of various nature. So tune in for more events from “Hayreniq” as it will always call you and need you – no matter in sadness or happiness!
