Over the weekend of January 27th and 28th, members of HTAC journeyed to Montreal to attend the grand opening of the renovated Diocesan offices.  This fabulous parish outing was organized and brought to fruition by the efforts of our Pastor, Reverend Father Arch. Zareh Zargarian.  All 53 travellers gathered at the church in the early morning on Saturday, and were well on their way, travelling in comfort on a coach-style bus, by the time the snow storm hit Toronto!  Hrant Ketenjian provided us with movies and music, and then solo singing and group celebration, all the way to Montreal.

Among the travellers were 8 of the 11 members of our Parish Council.  We were one big happy Holy Trinity family.                                   Read more...             See the photos...

The Pastor and Parish Council of Holy Trinity Armenian Church thank Ara Selyan for providing our new red carpet!Ara heard of our wish for an all-weather runner leading from the lobby door to the sanctuary doors, and delivered a really beautiful heavy-duty runner to meet our needs and more.  The carpet fills many uses; it will provide traction and a safe walking surface during the winter months; it will help to protect the new marble steps leading up into the sanctuary, and it serves as a showcase for our beautiful new sanctuary doors. Family Support Services “Soup Kitchen” Mission helps support 5 Soup Kitchens in Armenia.   The Family Support Services (FSS) of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church held its second annual Soup Kitchen on Sunday January 14th, 2007.  We could not have asked for a better day as the cold weather and snow outside made it perfect for having some hot chicken noodle soup, prepared by the ladies of FSS Board of Directors.  Read more...

February 3^rd, 2007 was historical day in the life of the Armenian Holy Trinity Church in Toronto.  The night was dedicated to honour the lifetime achievement of renowned Actress/Director Sirarpi Acemyan.  Her sixty years of stage life has neither exhausted her charm nor her zest and enthusiasm for theater.  Currently she is directing, with much success and vigor, The Pokr Pem Theatre Group of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto.  Read more...

Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ in Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto took place on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007. His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstanian celebrated the solemn Divine Liturgy.  During his stirring sermon, he spoke about the importance of faith and identity among our youth.  Assisting His Grace Bishop Galstanian at the Holy Altar was Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian.

The church was packed with parishioners who gathered to celebrate this joyous feast day, to pray and receive communion.  The newly-formed HTAC Junior Choir also participated in the service with their very first performance of Komitas’ “Der Voghormia”, mesmerizing the faithful. see the photos...

DIOCESAN ASSEMBLY November 10, 2007 Mona Selyan The Diocesan Assembly took place this year at the Kingston Radisson Hotel, a venue right on the waterfront with a great view on a beautiful sunny day.  The meeting was opened with prayer at 10:20am. Representing Toronto were Diocesan Delegates Aram Isnar, Madat Mamourian and Isa Basmajian.  Our HTAC Parish Council was represented by Chairman Avedis Evran, Secretary Mona Selyan and Accountant John Satouri. Our Parish Priest, Rev. Arch. Father Zareh Zargarian was present as a Diocesan Council member, along with other members seated at the head table including Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Ara Boyajian, Taro Alepian, Lillian Sevajian, Apet Alpay and Hrant Citak.

Diocesan issues were discussed according to the strict agenda prepared by the Diocesan Council.  Included were questions, concerns and reports from Camp Ararat, CAAPA, Family Support Services (Toronto) Hye Doon, and Womens Guild (Toronto).

A special report from ACYOC members was particularly well-received in this Year of the Youth.  Proudly representing our ACYOC Toronto chapter were Saro Khatchadourian, Arman Tanelyan and Ara Libarian, while the Golden Horseshoe chapter was represented by ACYOC Central Council Chairman Mher Torossian.

The Assembly worked through a light lunch, and we all parted ways at 3:30 pm.
