Holy Trinity Armenian Church Annual Picnic took place on Sunday, June 22, 2008. This event was dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of this parish.
Despite the nice weather in earlier hours of the day, the parish council members who organized this event, decided to have the gathering at church instead of the park. We enjoyed both outdoors and indoors. It was a wise decision considering the afternoon’s heavy rain.
Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian held the Morning Service after which everyone gathered in “Magaros Artinian” Hall or outside the church where the tables, chairs and tents were set up nicely. After some sunny hours the rain started forcing everyone to take refuge inside the church hall.
The Women's Guild members went out of their way preparing and serving homemade delicious appetizers, salads and deserts. Hot & fresh barbeque served straight from the grill, live music performed by Hrant Ketenjian and Grigor Shahmuradian. Singing, raffle and games for children kept everyone happy and busy for the whole afternoon.
This was another great event organized by our wonderful group of volunteers. Special thanks to our energetic, hardworking and fun parish council and women’s guild members. Without their dedicated and heartfelt work this day would not be as successful and enjoyable as it was. See the photos…

HAYRENIK – A HOME SO NEAR AND FAR FROM HOME!
On Wednesday, May 30th, 2007, already-famous ‘ad hoc’ committee, which organized “Yerevan Nights” and “Holy Man Named Komitas” in a short period of time, became official as an auxiliary committee to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church and with the unanimous decision of the members was named “Hayrenik”. The committee was created under the inspiring leadership of Father Zareh Zargarian and the auspices of Holy Trinity Armenian Church. With 12 members so far, they have elected Grigor Shahmuradyan as Chairman, Nouné Zohrabyan as Vice-Chairman (interim), Gohar Tutkhalyan as Secretary, and Spartak Setyan as Treasurer. Spartak will also have the support of Hripsik Sarkissian and Ashot Nagapetyan. Other members of the committee are Susanna Harutyunyan, Ara Mouradyan, Gayane Minasyan, Yana Papanyan, Yakov Batikyan, and Fred Nazaryan.
The primary purpose of the committee would be to organize social and cultural events of various natures. So tune in for more events from “Hayrenik” as it will always call you and need you – no matter in sadness or happiness!
P.S. Please join us for June 24th Annual picnic, organized by Holy Trinity Armenian Church, where you can meet the members of “Hayrenik”, play, socialize, network and have a lot of fun.
For more information on “Hayrenik” and ideas for future events, please e-mail Grigor Shahmuradyan at grigor@rogers.com.
