The Newcomers Project is a new initiative of the Family Support Services and through the 
“HIMA" (Help Immediate Members Appeal) e-mail distribution list, we received an amazing number of responses 
of people wanting to help. We furnished the apartment with the following items:
* Living Room Sofa & Love Seat, as well as side tables
* Dining Room Set with Chairs                                 
* Bedding
* Desk and Chair
* Dishes, Cutlery
* Television 
* TV Stand
* Radio
* Kitchen items such as Microwave oven, Toaster, dishes, pots/pans  
**…and a Christmas tree with decorations. 
We are very proud of the HIMA Supporters and thank everyone for their quick response. Without your
monetary gifts and donations of furniture, we could not have reached this beautiful mission. Special thanks 
to Jack Stepanian, Anahide Movel, Maria and Noubar Kokorian, Anet Kirkoc, Margaret and Bob Kassabian, 
Seda Adamian, Talar Sakarya, Areknaz Sakarya, Hera Youzbasryan, Sally Sahaghian, Yervant Chouljian 
and Nora Baltayan. 

Thanks to Maida Icliates, Lina Martirossian and Hagop Tarian who organized, compiled all the names of 
supporters and were there to help move furniture. We worked like an orchestra to accomplish all the steps 
in furnishing our Newcomers' place.
A BIG THANK YOU goes to Aram Mazmanyan of Mazmanyan Home Renovations, who took time away from 
his busy schedule to help out the Armenian family. He helped us tremendously by driving us around the GTA
with his truck, loading all the furnishings and delivering them to the Newcomers' apartment.
