Dear Parishioners, Friends and Church Family,
For centuries, Armenian faithful have supported their
beloved church with heartfelt donations; especially towards lighting candles
and for the collection plate.
The Pastor & Parish Council are happy to introduce
Holy Trinity Armenian Church “LOUMA” program, in which vouchers maybe used for
candle and collection plate donations.
The Louma vouchers are available in $2, $5, $10 and $20
denominations. Tax deductible receipts
are available for purchases of books of 10 Loumas. The Loumas can be conveniently purchased with
any form of payment. By using Loumas instead of cash each Sunday, you will
help eliminate hours of volunteer work, counting and depositing small cash
donations. By carrying a book of Loumas,
you will eliminate the worry about having cash for candle or collection plate
donations. The Parish Council will be happy to introduce the
Loumas and assist you in this regards.
Please
don’t hesitate to contact the Church office with any questions or concerns; We
look forward to worshiping with you at next Sunday’s Divine Liturgy.
Thank you. | |

elderly residents were offered treats prepared by the visitation committee.
There was a festive atmosphere in the lounge where we had all gathered. Tears

Week of Prayer for
Christian Unity
"We
will all be changed by the Victory of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Cor. 15:51-58
|
| Members
of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church made a pilgrimage to the historic St.
Michael's Catholic Cathedral in downtown Toronto last Sunday, January 22, to
participate in a multi-denominational ecumenical observance dedicated to the
week of prayer for Christian unity.
The week of prayer was conceived in 1908 to pray for Christian unity. Today, it
is organized globally by the World Council of Churches, a fellowship of
churches which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to
the scriptures. The prayers are held annually so that Christians become
aware of the great diversity of ways of adoring God. Hearts are touched, and
people realize that their neighbours' ways are not so strange.

A
concert for St.
Sahag St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School’s Students
| |
On November 26 a concert for St. Sahag St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School’s Nursery, JK, SK, grades
1 and 2 as well as for Ani Class students took place. Robert and Frank
Petizians came to the school to entertain the students with their talent,
festive songs and music. At 12 o’clock the teachers led the excited children to
the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church
building lower level where the event was
going to take place.
The initiator of the event, the principal of the school Mr.
Yetvart Balian greeted the students and introduced the talented guests.
Petizian brothers performed a number of cheerful songs, such as “38 Letters”,
“Lorik”, “Our school” and many others. The students were in a great mood, the
hall was full of children’s laughter and continuous applause.
It is important to mention the fact that children had their
special role in the concert not only as spectators but also as active
participants. The relevance of the lyrics and the music let the students sing
together with Petizian brothers and become a part of the performance. The
educational nature of the concert is also undeniable.
At the end of the event, the principal thanked Robert and
Frank Petizians and expressed a desire to host them at St. Sahag St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School soon again.
